Innovative technology for improved performance Many of the operational anomalies of moving mode radar have been eliminated in the Directional Talon. With a new antenna design, the unit has longer targeting range, ability to select approaching or receding targets only, elimination of EMI and RFI concerns and greatly reduced patrol speed combining and shadowing.
Simple, easy operation with less controls As with the entire Talon II series, this unit has TruTrak and Smart Search patrol speed software, but with the new antenna and directional capability, it eliminates the need for the "slower" button.
Take the guesswork out of vehicle tracking While in moving, same direction mode, the operator can monitor both the strongest target signal and the highest speed signal. For example, the strongest signal can be a large vehicle slowing down or exiting the roadway as a high-speed vehicle appears. The added same direction fastest mode feature eliminates these target discrimination problems and provides accurate speed readings.
In the stationary mode, the Directional Talon offers three modes of operation. ALL mode, tells the operator the direction of the target signal on the display with roadway arrows and includes the fastest mode of operation. If the operator only wants to monitor approaching targets, APR can be selected, and the unit will ignore receding targets. Likewise, if receding targets are to be monitored, REC would be selected and all approaching targets would be ignored. In each of these modes, fastest operation will be maintained, making the advanced features and capabilities easy for all operator’s to use.
