| The ClearComm DSS (Digital Spread Spectrum) 900 MHz transmitter is included with all Kustom Signals' in-car video systems.
Automatic "Error Correction" for Superior Audio Quality
ClearComm’s digital forward error correction reduces data errors and improves the accuracy of the transmission that results in fewer dropouts and better range. No white noise is transmitted, only clear, clean, accurate “studio quality” audio.
No more remembering to turn your transmitter on or off
ClearComm is automatically activated when the video system begins recording to ensure audio is recorded even if an officer forgets to turn on the transmitter. Once the video recording has stopped, the transmitter automatically returns to standby to conserve power.
No more missed audio because of a damaged mic cord
ClearComm offers a built-in internal mic and may be used as a cordless unit. If the mic cord is used, ClearComm can detect a damaged cord and automatically switch to the internal mic, ensuring no audio is missed.
Quick and easy vehicle transfer
Any ClearComm transmitter can be used in a ClearComm-equipped car to accommodate officers who may need to switch vehicles. Additionally, up to 20 users can operate on a scene simultaneously.
12 hours of use without recharging
This compact rechargeable lithium-ion battery will provide 12 hours of continuous operation without recharge and a minimum of 80 hours of standby time.
LED Blackout feature
Allows the LEDs to be turned off altogether. This prevents them from illuminating the officer while operating outside the car at night. (This feature is not available as a retrofit to existing ClearComm transmitters). |
